Today is a big day for our little brand, over three years ago, a mother of two and our small team of women-led makers set out to empower women through design and opportunity.
In April 2019, after a six-month application process, we’re proud to announce, All The Wild Roses is the 5th Apparel brand in Australia to become a Certified B Corporation® alongside brands we’ve long admired @patagonia @veja @outlanddenim @toms and so many more.
Certified B Corporation®
“Certified B Corporation® are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.”
Certified B Corporation® is to business as Fair Trade is to coffee. Certified B Corporation® doesn’t just evaluate a product or service; it assesses the overall positive impact of the company that stands behind it. And increasingly that’s what people care most about.
Certified B Corporation® achieve a minimum verified score on the B Impact Assessment—a rigorous assessment of a company’s impact on its workers, customers, community, and the environment. Certified B Corporation® also amend their legal governing documents to require their board of directors to balance profit and purpose.
The minimum score for certification is 80 out of a possible 200, and All The Wild Roses score was 106.9 (Our B impact report at See details of our B Impact Report at bcorporation.net.)
“When we started, All The Wild Roses, our vision was very clear, that we would create fashion that was going to be done differently. One that would empower the makers, use eco-friendly materials, limit wastage and giving back to underserved communities that need it most.
Our hope was that our brand would be a conduit to connect people to the values that we stand for and how we all can use the power of fashion, our every day choices to create the changes we seek to see in the world. ”
“We Are People Using Business As A Force For Good”.Certified B Corporation®
“It was only later in our journey that we discovered B Corporations, and through the encouragement of our friend Robyn Jones, the founder of Certified B Corporation®, Mamamayaorganic that we undertook the six months rigorous process of B Corp verification which has connected us to a community of like-minded businesses that we’d had long been searching for.”
Hang Osment-Le, Founder + Director
“Having B Corp’s independent verification means we’re on the right track and that as a business we’re contributing to positive changes through what we do. Our little team here could not be more grateful to everyone for supporting us so far.”
